Between Denver and Castle Rock lies one of the best Dog Parks in Colorado.  On the south side of denver, good off leash dog parks are hard to find, and aside from Cherry Creek State Park's dog area, which costs plenty, the Glendale Open Space Dog Park at Surrey Ridge is the way to go.

An expansive area for your dogs to explore, with bushes to search and small knolls to wear down on.  A slightly extensive walk takes you uphill to the south edge of the park, wrapping around through nature like trails and scenic views of the country side.  On the peak of the dog park is a small obstacle course your dogs can try.  Climb over the A-frame or crawl through the tunnel is always a puppy's favorite!

You can throw a ball far at this off leash park, you may even lose it unless your hound can find anything.  The dog park at Surrey Ridge offers a lot of room and and a rolling natural setting.  Aside from the traffic of I-25 down below to the west, this dog park is premier.  Facilities and dirt parking are very close to the entrance.  On days with rain or snow, it will be dirty - plan accordingly, and as always - Please clean up after your pet!

From I-25 south, take Ridge Plaza Exit east to light, south along frontage road to dog park on left in Glendale Farm Open Space.
